BWT at International Trade Fairs: Where the Company Showcases Its Technology

For an equipment manufacturer, a trade fair is not advertising but a way to show hardware in operation. BWT takes part in several industry events, and the mix of these events shows which business areas make up the group. What follows is limited to what the BWT website and the official exhibitor catalogs confirm.

ISH in Frankfurt: The Main Venue for Sanitary Equipment and HVAC

ISH is Europe's largest trade fair for sanitary equipment, heating, and air conditioning by number of participants. In March 2025, BWT presented an exhibit there under the name Pearlwater City. According to BWT's own data, the stand covered 1500 square meters.

At ISH 2025 the company presented the One Pipe Power Pearlwater line, the Pearlwater Mineralizer kitchen set based on Mixxo Pro, the PerlaMAX series, residential and industrial water treatment systems, and membrane products from the FUMATECH and Fumega divisions. In the ISH 2025 exhibitor catalog, the legal entity is listed as BWT Wassertechnik GmbH, and the declared products include AQA drink Pro 60 and BWT Perla.

The format is worth noting. The exhibit was organized as a set of zones: a demonstration apartment, a water tasting area, a presentation area, and a membrane technology zone. This is trade fair presentation, not a technical certification of the equipment.

Aquatech Amsterdam: The Specialist Venue for Water Treatment

Aquatech in Amsterdam is a specialized trade fair for process water, drinking water, and wastewater. BWT Holding GmbH is listed in the Aquatech Amsterdam exhibitor catalog, including in the pool technology section. The audience here differs from ISH: water treatment designers, operating organizations, and industrial customers.

IFAT in Munich: The Municipal and Industrial Segment

IFAT is a trade fair for water supply, wastewater disposal, and waste management. BWT Wassertechnik GmbH is listed in the IFAT Munich 2026 exhibitor catalog. For an engineer this is a useful signal: the company brings solutions for municipal water utilities, industrial sites, and treatment plants here, not residential filters.

Host Milano and the Coffee Segment: The water+more Division

The separate BWT water+more division serves the HoReCa segment: coffee, vending, combi steamers, ice makers, and dishwashers. At Host 2023 in Milan (October 13-17, 2023), the division occupied Hall 24P, stands H11, H21, L12, and L22. It showed bestaqua ROC (reverse osmosis), bestclear and bestclear Extra, and bestsoft.

The technical logic here is simple. The taste of coffee and the service life of the equipment depend on carbonate hardness and total dissolved solids. That is why a filter manufacturer exhibits next to coffee machine manufacturers rather than next to boiler manufacturers.

The Pool Segment: Piscine Global in Lyon

BWT Pool Products is on the exhibitor list of Piscine Global (Lyon). This segment covers pool water treatment and robotic pool cleaners. It grew in part through the 2019 acquisition of Aquatron, an Israeli manufacturer of pool robots.

How to Read a Manufacturer's Trade Fair Announcements

A few practical notes that save time when selecting equipment.

• A press release from a trade fair is the company's own disclosure. BWT delisted from the stock exchange in 2017, so its figures and statements after 2016 are not subject to stock exchange disclosure. Wording such as "world premiere" should be read as the company's position, not as an industry certification.
• A fair's exhibitor catalog is a more reliable source than a retelling. It shows the specific legal entity, the year, and the declared product range.
• The mix of trade fairs describes a company more accurately than a corporate slogan. For BWT it covers HVAC, industrial water treatment, HoReCa, pools, and membranes at the same time.
• A product shown at a fair is not the same as a product in the supplier's warehouse in your country. Time passes between a premiere and local availability, and some items never leave individual markets.

What matters for a customer in Uzbekistan

• Focus on the product series, not the trade fair name. PerlaMAX, Rondomat duoMAXX, AQA total, and bestaqua ROC are working designations: you can request a technical data sheet for them and select an equivalent by capacity.
• When selecting equipment for a cafe or restaurant, look at the water+more line, not at residential filters. Tashkent water with high carbonate hardness quickly destroys the boilers of coffee machines.
• Before purchasing, check that service consumables are available in the country. The cartridge, the regeneration salt, and a spare control unit determine the real cost of ownership more than the price of the unit itself.
• Order an analysis of the source water before selecting the configuration. A trade fair configuration is designed for European water parameters; for local wells and the municipal network, the design almost always differs.
